The WSSF Trophy: The Marc Elmore World Snowshoe Championship Award

At stake is not only the thrill of victory, but the honor of having your name engraved on the Marc Elmore World Snowshoe Championship Trophy — a tradition dating back to the first World Snowshoe Championship. Named in memory of Marc Elmore, a beloved athlete, coach, and ambassador for the sport, the trophy symbolizes the spirit, endurance, and camaraderie that unite the snowshoe world.

Marc’s passion for snowshoeing and dedication to building its community are remembered through both this award and stories shared in Snowshoe Mag’s tribute and race coverage. Each new champion’s name etched on the trophy becomes part of an enduring legacy shared by athletes across generations.
