I like to Snowshoe and hike off trail on the mountains behind my house. These trekking poles work great especially on the mountain terrain. I really like the softer snow baskets because they bend and don't break, like other harder plastic ones, when you hit rocks hidden under the snow. I'm 225 lbs and have had no issues with them bending going up or down the mountain slopes and terrain. And I like the metal snap locks on these better than the plastic ones on other poles.
