really liked the stylish and modern vibe of the property, it felt fun and fresh from the moment we walked in. The location was super convenient for exploring the city, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Bonus points for having a nice restaurant on-site that serves food until 9pm ,really convenient after a long day out.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-loving & Forward-thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organizations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world-class. Don't miss the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, there's something for everybody.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sports. Scotland’s 2 iconic soccer clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national soccer stadium, Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Glasgow has a lot to offer in the way of history, architecture, fine dining, live music, banter, pubs and a gateway to the rest of Scotland. BUT, sometimes you have to look hard for it or ignore some of the effects of decay and austerity. One tip, in the city centre, look up at buildings, not just the ground level. There are some hidden gems and the museums are great, and free.

It's not the most unique Scottish town, but if you're in the area it's worth spending a few days. The city center is small, easy to get around and full of great restaurants and pubs. There were a lot of murals in the city, which I really liked. The necropolis is a short walk from the city centre and is definitely worth seeing.

Get yourself a good street map, Glasgow is big!

Get yourself a good street map, Glasgow is big! When using the bus it's no good remembering where you got off as the one way system means you'll get back on somewhere different! Lots of places to eat and drink, good shopping. Could do with more places to sit outside. Kelvingrove museum a great place to visit for all the family. The Botanic gardens are a lovely oasis and well worth a visit.

Kelvingrove Museum, neighbouring university, riverside museum and GOMA, as well as all the smaller arts centres, theatres, and excellent whisky pubs, proved that Glasgow offers much more than football rivalries.

It was mainly a family visit but I did walk down memory lane. Kelvin Art Gallery and Museum as good as any in the world. Govan new bridge was great to cross and see opening with a visit to the Transport Museum. Glasgow Cathedral and Tomb of St Mungo was a great visit with option to see the oldest house in Glasgow. The Subway was the main transport to the locations visited. So many other things I did not get done. Had a great fish and chips from the Blue Lagoon but if you want a hot cuppa bring your own mug or reusable as it is not the same to drink from a blue plastic cup.

We enjoyed our stay in Apex City of Glasgow Hotel. The room was spacious, with nice decoration, comfortable and clean. They cleaned the room daily. The staff were helpful and very polite. Great location, beside the city centre. Great value for money! There's a generous discount in the close-by multistory Q-Park when you pre-book. Ask the hotel for more details. I would highly recommend staying there!

This modern hotel offers a refreshing and stylish atmosphere, conveniently situated just a leisurely 10-12 minute walk from the bustling heart of Glasgow city centre. During our two-night stay, we were fortunate to book an Executive Suite. The spacious layout comfortably accommodated my family. Appreciated the discounted rate at the nearby Charing Cross car park.
