That is an excellent question. I just checked the Internet for a good answer. The location that I was thinking of suggesting is Myoko Kogen, which I have written about on this site. I discovered the following website. Near the bottom, there is a link to a bus service that will take guests from the Narita or Haneda, the two international airports near Tokyo, to various locations that are famous for skiing and great for snowshoeing, including Shigakogen. Infrequent train or bus schedules seem way too difficult for the first time visitor. Thanks for your articles as they have really peaked my interest in trying snowshoeing in Japan.
