Edison Nation Seeks New Innovations in Outdoor Technology For Discovery Expedition Brand

Inspired by Discovery Channel, Discovery Expedition – an innovative collection of lifestyle products specifically designed for active and intellectual exploration – has launched a search for new products and technologies that enhance life in the great outdoors.

Discovery Communications and Edison Nation, an online inventor community and product developer, announced today a call for all inventors, amateur and professional, to submit technological innovations that will appeal to the outdoor adventure-seeker.

Now through August 6, aspiring inventors, tinkerers or the tech-savvy can submit their ideas for new products online at www.EdisonNation.com/DiscoveryExpedition. Product ideas should improve life in the great outdoors, such as utilizing weather radio alerts or GPS navigation in new ways.

Edison Nation’s team of product review experts will examine all ideas through a comprehensive eight-stage review process, which includes understanding the intellectual property space, market research and design, as well as the marketability of the idea. Edison Nation will then present the top concepts to Discovery.

Discovery may select any number of ideas to license, develop and bring to market under the Discovery Expediton brand. Selected ideas will receive a $2,500 minimum advance on 20 years percentage of sales or buyout. Edison Nation splits the royalties 50/50 with the inventor on the products selected and royalties vary based on the product.
