To truly live a vibrant and authentic life one must honor the sanctity of optimum wellness.

The value you place on your health is in part a reflection of your food choices. Use a full-length mirror to reveal the outer truth and start thinking from the inside out.

A plant-based, whole foods diet consists of unrefined, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes.
These represent the new four food groups for vitality and optimal health.

Scientists have stretched hypotheses and technology to ridiculous lengths to dissect individual nutrients in their quests to discover and define optimal health.

This exhaustive approach is a losing proposition.

This delightful film dispels the myths and glaring misinformation we have been conditioned to believe as truths for the sake of profits.

Julieanna Hever, MS, RD, CPT and award-winning filmmaker Jesse Pomeroy wrote and produced this swiftly-paced journey into the plant-based world in a fun, easily digestible format to explain why it is necessary to eat as close to nature as possible – and the ease in which it can be accomplished.

Pomeroy directed this 53-minute jewel in which he and Hever deftly conveyed mountains of data and information via point blank, comprehensible nuggets of epic proportion.

The value of food ought not be judged by its advertising budget, its novelty or any other despicable mode in the interest of capitalism. Clearly this not the case but the truth is a powerful elixir. Stay tuned.

Hever and Pomeroy cleverly piece together the fragmented puzzle of nutrition that has permeated nearly every aspect of our society. It is likely that you will learn volumes more from this short documentary than you did in school.

The energetic tandem crisscrossed the country to elicit the views of some of the leading proponents of plant-based nutrition to discern the truth.

The truth is we have been duped by the highly politicized food policies and agendas.

The secret to optimum wellness is the daily consumption of plant-based, whole foods.

Our attempts to analyze and alter the laws of nature have compromised our awareness – and it shows.

The alarming levels of obesity and the proliferation of chronic and degenerative diseases are directly linked to the Standard American Diet and our penchant for convenience.

Medical procedures, pills and treatments may mask symptoms but they do nothing to address what causes disease and less to prevent the onset of what can readily be avoided by adhering to a plant-based, whole foods diet.

The ultimate goal of this film is to introduce that nothing in the medical world has the regenerative power of plant-based, whole foods when it comes to disease prevention and achieving optimal health.

The researchers, physicians and activists present convincing arguments to demolish the common myths surrounding protein and calcium requirements, food addiction, metabolism, environmental stewardship and the need for supplements.Hever - Author pic - veggies

Some of the heavy hitters include:

  • Dr. T. Colin Campbell (The China Study);
  • Dr. Joel Fuhrman (Eat to Live);
  • Dr. John McDougall (The McDougall Program);
  • Dr. Neal Barnard (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine);
  • Dr. Pam Popper (The Wellness Forum);
  • Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn (Cleveland Clinic);
  • and many more.

The film also looks to the future emphasizing that incredible restaurants and businesses like Veggie Grill and Millennium, for example, are helping to make a plant-based diet more popular and practical.

The duo visit the benevolent haven that is Farm Sanctuary – a place for rescued factory farm animals.

This film redefines the symbiotic relationship between health and nutrition. The science is abundantly clear. The innumerable benefits and far-reaching effects from consuming foods which we are biologically adapted to eat are unequivocal.

The food industry makes billions of dollars each year at the expense of our health and the environment. Plant-based, whole foods are the healthiest foods we can possibly consume in terms of nutrient density and a host of other benefits. The major medical and ecological issues facing our planet are directly linked to animal production and conventional agriculture methods.

You have the choice to thrive or exist. This film helps you to choose to achieve optimum wellness and contribute to the healing of our planet. It begins with the food on your plate.

You can choose to fuel your body with foods that accelerate disease and hasten ecological damage or power your body with high energy, nutrient-dense, plant-based, whole foods to promote regeneration and environmental restoration. Food should nourish your body not deplete it. It is your choice.

This inspiring film is filled with life-changing information to help its viewers take the appropriate action to improve the quality of life for everyone on the planet.
