National Geographic Maps – Voyageurs National Park & Boundary Waters

With summer just around the corner, the time for hiking, canoeing, boating and exploring is finally upon us! Luckily National Geographic Maps has created two new Trails Illustrated Maps in time to help you do the activities you love.

Voyageurs National Park, as you know is located at the border of Minnesota and Canada, is frequented by over 1/4 million people each year. Defined by its interconnected waterways, the park requires you to leave your car behind and explore the Northwood Lake Country by kayak, canoe, houseboat or motorboat.

The Voyageur map contains detailed park information for all seasons including hiking trails, campgrounds, portages, snowshoe trails, snowmobiling trails, trail access points, detailed roads, park services, plus opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, power boating and more.

The second illustrated map that National Geographic has created is for the Boundary Waters in the water-rich Superior National Forest which includes more than 2,000 lakes and rivers that offer a chance to canoe, boat, fish and camp where early Native Americans, voyageurs, missionaries, loggers and explorers once traveled.

The Boundary Waters East and West maps include hiking trails, portages, cross-country, snowmobile and snowshoe trails, trail access locations, campgrounds and tent sites, birding, fishing, kayak, canoeing and power boating opportunities.
