Easton Mountain Products Makes News at Outdoor Retailer 2010

Easton Mountain Products releases trekking pole line including carbon and carbon/aluminum hybrid poles

The new Easton trekking pole line offers five models using state-of-the-art construction including carbon, aluminum, and carbon/aluminum hybrid configurations.  All Easton models feature the patent-pending Rock-Lock clamp that fuses the poles into position for hassle-free, comfortable trekking in summer and winter.

New for 2010:

The Easton CTR trekking pole line includes the all-carbon CTR-70TM and carbon/aluminum hybrid CTR-60TM for the ultimate in lightweight performance.

Easton technology and experience in precision aluminum and composite science is further enhanced with the innovative pole clamping system? a key component in any quality trekking pole.  This unique Rock-Lock positive-locking clamp allows for quick adjustment and firmly locks with a snap for confident trekking.

This patent-pending clamp is a revolutionary locking system designed to offer full adjustability while the low-profile toggle buckle design fuses the pole sections into position.  Rock-Lock adjusts by simply rotating the buckle lever to the desired position, and then re-engaging the lever, and snapping the lever closed.  Once set to the desired tension the lever can be locked and unlocked for collapsing the pole without losing locking tension.

Easton trekking poles feature precision-built tubing, Rock-Lock clamps, premium grips, adjustable wrist straps, and include summer and winter baskets.  Available in both two and three-tier telescope designs.

Outdoor Industry Buzzing Over Ergonomic Innovations in Snowshoes

Easton ARTICA Series Snowshoes from the leading producer of performance sporting equipment, deliver innovative patent-pending ergonomic performance features for a high-tech answer to going farther.

The Easton Difference:

Made from USA-built Easton Aluminum, ARTICA snowshoes feature two-piece frames that flex and articulate for more comfortable and stable movement over rough terrain.  The innovative frame design and Virtual Pivot Traction Cam absorb the stresses normally transferred to the ankle, knee, and hip while providing unsurpassed stability and control.

The unique Virtual Pivot Traction Cam utilizes two independent pivot arms under the binding.  This dual-arm innovation creates a step-leveling virtual third pivot-point for digging deep and improved traction.  Getting into, and out of, snowshoes has never been easier.  Easton designed the patent-pending Quick-Cinchä bindings from the ground up for one-handed pull-and-go entry and exit. The ARTICA series is PVC free and constructed from 80% recyclable materials.

ARTICA comes in three performance levels and 21, 25, or 30-inch sizes to perfectly match your individual activity level.  Trail and Hike models are asymmetrically contoured specially for the unique strides of men and women for natural, more comfortable hiking.  The advanced Backcountry offers forged aerospace aluminum crampons and aggressive rear crampon for the more serious excursion.

The Backcountry received Outside Magazine’s coveted Gear of the Year award in 2009 and accolades from the New York Times.

Go farther with patent-pending ergonomic performance features that absorb torque, shed snow, and conserve energy with every step.  Learn more about ARTICA advanced snowshoes at www.eastonsnowshoes.com.
